Back to Saltillo: Tuesday, July 5, 2016
Yesterday we left Denton at 8:00am and arrived in McAllen, Texas at 4:00pm. Mark and Serena wanted to stay in and rest, but I really wanted to see fireworks, especially since I missed my family’s cookout and fireworks. So I tagged along with people from the WGM mission center to watch fireworks. We went to a church parking lot where we had food and played musical chairs. Then I found myself sitting in a circle playing “Would You Rather” with a group of people that I had just met and will most likely never see again. That was definitely not something that I planned on doing during my mission trip to Mexico. But it’s okay. I was just glad that I was able to watch fireworks at all.
This morning we left the WGM guest house around 7:00am and arrived in Saltillo around 11:00am. Then the cleaning began. We cleaned from then until 4:00pm when Serena and I had to leave for a Women’s Bible Study, aside from a lunch break.
I was really excited to go to the women’s meeting tonight and be back into ministry activities, even if I don’t always know exactly what’s going on.
